ORDINANCE NUMBER 2006-04

 

AN ORDINANCE ADDING TO SHALIMAR’S EXISTING OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE FEE CATEGORY LIST AND FEE SCHEDULE

 

Whereas,

Shalimar Code of Ordinances currently provides for the imposition of a license or privilege tax for the operation of a business, profession, or occupation as outlined in the ordinance, and;

Whereas,

the Town of Shalimar finds the need to add new categories of businesses and fees for the new categories, and;

Whereas,

the Town of Shalimar has, and will have in the future, expenses relating to delivery of governmental services to these businesses.

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained:

 

SECTION 1:  That the following categories and fees be added to the current Occupational License fee chart.

 

Add to Occupational License fee chart

Marina (as defined in section 54-1)

$375

plus $14 per non-liveaboard wet slip per year

*plus $120 per liveaboard wet slip per year to be licensed in increments of 10.

* Marina owners/operators must designate and list the slips that will be used for live-aboard(s) as part of the annual business license renewal.  Changes to this list must be updated at Town Hall and failure to do so may result in all slips being licensed as live-aboard at the next license renewal.

Hotel

$375 plus $14 per room per year

 

 

SECTION 2:  This ordinance shall become effective upon approval by the Mayor and Town Commission.
