Whereas,    the Town of Shalimar has tentatively approved its Fiscal Year Budget for 2002-2003; and

Whereas,    the Property Appraiser for Okaloosa County, Florida, has certified 2.80 mills as an allowable millage rate for the calendar year 2002; and

Whereas,    the Budget for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 can be funded with the amount of dollars the Millage Rate will raise.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED:

Section I.

That the millage rate to be imposed during the calendar year 2002 for taxable non-exempt real and personal property in the Town of Shalimar , Florida , be 2.80 dollars per thousand of appraised valuation.

Section II.

That the rate of 2.80 mills is a minus (-) 4.54% change from the rolled back rate.

Section III.

That this is a temporary ordinance and shall not be codified.

Section IV.

That the county Property Appraiser and the Tax Collector shall be notified accordingly.
